Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. Her birthplace was Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer at an early stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell's mother established her with an agent before she was 13, and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. She also started taking private acting classes at the age of 13. Bell played a small part that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and the drama club. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the high-school production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was then transferred in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. However the scene she played was removed from the film and she was not even in the credits. Bell appeared featured in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
